Internal Awareness Made Easy

Intent of motion

It’s not the range of motion… it’s the intent of the motion.

This fine distinction allows us to discover treasures in the smallest of windows when it comes to moving.

Going for more range of motion can be countered by seeking quality in the motion which leads one to a comfortable and functional range of motion.

We all know when we are injured, the range diminishes, yet this is a grand time to explore all the small spaces once again. This well is deep and full of a sensations rather than the pre-occupation with one’s discomfort.

Pain does get our attention. It’s a wonderful teacher waiting for us to wield it for our own good.

Even when healthy, dialing down the efforts of moving and looking/sensing/thinkings from within lend to our intent of motion and the quality of our self.
